FIFA 2026 Art Installation
NEW DATE: 05/28! Calling all artists!!! Grades 4-10 only. MedinaCares has been invited by OneRedmond to help decorate their office wall with a FIFA World Cup–inspired art installation.
“Redmond Welcomes the World” is a student-led public art installation celebrating the cultures and nations arriving in the PNW for the FIFA World Cup. Using real soccer balls of varying sizes, MedinaCares students will paint the flags of nations participating in FIFA — symbolizing unity through sport. The balls will then be suspended in a flowing wall display inspired by Pacific Northwest design elements. After the exhibition, the soccer balls will be donated to MAPS-MCRC for refugee and newcomer youth, allowing the artwork to continue its journey beyond the installation itself.
Come paint the flags of nations from around the world and represent the team you’re supporting! Students who participate will receive 2 volunteer hours for this painting event.
