Medina Academy’s Competitive Math Program is designed for students passionate about mathematics and eager to challenge themselves beyond the standard curriculum. With a focus on problem-solving, logical reasoning, and competition preparation, this program prepares students for top-tier national and international math competitions such as Math Olympiad, AMC, and other prestigious contests.

Program Information

Elementary Team

Grades 4th-5th

This group is designed for elementary students who want to deepen their understanding of math and prepare for regional competitions.

Middle School Team

Grades 6th-8th

For middle school students looking to hone their skills for national competitions such as Math Olympiad, AMC, and AIME.

Days: Monday & Wednesday

Time: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Location: Redmond Campus

Target Competitions

We are considering the following competitions and will be picking a subset of these to achieve a good balance for having a competition about every couple of months.

  • AMC 8
  • Math Kangaroo – March
  • MOEMS – November–March (5 tests)
  • MathCounts – Four competition levels: School, Chapter (February), State (March), National (May). Each level includes Sprint, Target, Team, and Countdown rounds.
  • Noetic Fall
  • Noetic Spring – April
  • PIMC Euler – March 2026
  • Math League – May

Program Fees

$150 per month per student 

Fee includes:

  • Evaluation Exam
  • Textbooks and online materials provided by the partner company
  • Coaching and competitions preparation

How to Enroll

Thanks for your interest in the program. The enrollment is now closed since all available seats have been taken after the placement test.

How long will the program run?

Since there are multiple competitions in the year. Through out the year till end of May. When we take breaks (i.e. school winter break) we’ll prorate the fees for the respective months.

Is the program open to students who are not Medina Academy students?

At this point we will focus only on Medina Academy students.

Who are the teachers?

Program will be lead by Sister Asma our Math Middle School teacher with a CS degree and MBA. She has a stellar track record at Medina not only on teaching grade level math but also leading the accelerated math program. She is also an experienced teacher at external tutoring programs.

Sister Sana has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in Software Engineering.

Besides our main coaches, we’ll also have a few high-school and college students with strong Math skills and tutoring experience.
