MedinaCares Community Service Club is hosting a Used Wires Drive to raise awareness about the environmental impact of improperly discarded copper.
Items like jumper cables, chargers, computer cables, headphones, extension cords, and holiday lights contain valuable metals like copper and aluminum, which take hundreds of years to form. Recycling them helps keep these materials out of landfills.
Volunteers will arrive at the Redmond Campus at 7:45 AM to set out collection bins, bring them back in after dismissal at 3:45PM, empty them, and assist with sorting and loading at the end of the drive.
