3 Gold, 1 Silver Medal for Medina Debate Team

Redmond, WA- Medina Academy students marked an impressive debut at the 2026 National Online Forensics Diamond Invitational, held on April 18, 2026. A total of 20 talented students represented the school in their first-ever debate tournament, achieving strong results across multiple categories.

In the Middle School Public Forum Debate, the teams of Hana Faheed & Hiba Faheed and M. Bilal Sait & Saad Sathak both earned Gold. The Silver Award was secured by Muhammad Amro & Ayman Shaik. Among individual speakers, Muhammad Amro placed first, followed by Hiba Faheed in second.

At the Elementary School level, Nuha Noor & Mahdi Amro won Gold in the Public Forum Debate category. In individual rankings, Nuha Noor placed first among top speakers, with Mahdi Amro taking second place.

We extend our sincere thanks to our five Medina judges—Hafsa Sathar, Atherr Alam, Faheed Subhani, Rehan Hamid and Abdul Majid for generously judging a range of events in the tournament, including Congress, Lincoln-Douglas, Impromptu, Humorous Interpretation, Poetry, and Spar across all divisions.

Debate teams are now preparing for upcoming competitions, including the in-person Seattle University National Forensics tournament on May 24, 2026, and the 2026 National Online Forensics Championships, scheduled for June 1–7, 2026.
