Dalia Laz

A lifelong love for children has blossomed through daily experiences at Medina Academy Preschool. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, I have made the Pacific Northwest my home for the past seventeen years. As a mother of three, balancing family life with professional growth is a rewarding journey. My academic foundation began with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Pursuing my passion in early childhood education, I earned CDA and completed the Initial, Short and Washington State Certificate in Early Childhood Education. I am currently enrolled in associate’s degree in early childhood education and hoping to complete a second BA in ECE in the near future.

My early teaching career involved working at various Islamic centers, where I developed strong classroom skills and formed deep connections with young learners. Teaching the Quran also allowed me to share my faith and culture with students. In 2013, I began formal training in teaching Arabic at Pacific Lutheran University in Seattle, further strengthening my instructional skills.

At Medina Academy, my focus is on teaching Arabic and Quran, roles that bring me profound fulfillment. I am grateful to contribute to the spiritual and educational growth of our community’s children—work that I believe enriches this life and the hereafter.
